This book is about “sharing your faith, one light at a time.” It’s divided into to parts: “Getting Past the I Can’ts: and “Grabbing On to the I Cans.” The first half of the book she deals with all of the excuses that Christians try to use to explain why they aren’t opening their mouths when there’s an opportunity. She shows how each one is simply an excuse and how they pale with the importance of their souls. The second half of the book concentrates on what the reader can do in certain situations.
I have one major problem with this book. The author concentrates too much on the person. She stresses how the person should give their testimony. God doesn’t need our words and/works to touch another’s heart. All He needs is His Own Word. The author would have done better to focus on Scriptures that can be used to tell others about their
Savior. If the reader needs examples of how the Lord’s worked in someone’s life, there are dozens of examples from Scripture that can be used.
