A young woman has fallen into the beautiful waters of Hawaii. Or was she pushed? When the woman shows up out of the blue with no memory at his sister’s place, Cameron Pierce regards this stranger with deep suspicion. Temporarily named Jade, he takes the amnesic woman on a journey to reconstruct her identity. Cameron gets more than he bargained for when he find out “Jade†is actually the rising celebrity, Gentry Fox. In no time the little islands becomes a media circus with “Jade†being the biggest story around the world.
Still trying to recapture her memory, Gentry struggles to recapture her “girl next door†public image which someone has taken great pains to taint across the tabloids. Gentry also must deal with the fact that due to her inability to remember, her uncle almost died.
In the midst of turmoil, Gentry and Cameron find themselves growing attractive to each other. Unfortunately, it becomes not only impossible for the two to escape the media’s eyes, but the eyes of individuals who have spiteful and dangerous agendas.
Kristen without fail consistently delivers romantic suspense novels with characters that readers grow to love. In this case, this reviewer believes Kristen came to really love writing about these characters in this whopping 462 page book. With a crazy schedule, it took a bit of time for me to complete the book, but I found it engaging nonetheless. I have never been to Hawaii, but felt like I was there. The author’s detail was amazing, all the way down to the dialect, slang, traditions and cultural dishes.
I can see this being a great summer reading at the beach or by a pool.
