I love to listen to 80s music—how telling is that of my age? LOL I enjoy scrapbooking, and of course, reading. 
How do you find time to connect with God?
I don’t think it’s a matter of finding time, I think it’s more a matter of making Him a priority and MAKING time to connect with Him. I talk to Him just as I would a friend, in my car, in my house, everywhere. Sure, I get some funny looks sometimes, but I really don’t care.
Who are your favorite authors? Favorite books?
All time favorite authors are Stephen King and Edgar Allen Poe. Current favorite authors are Colleen Coble, Karen Robards, Jim Bell, and Mary Higgins Clark. Favorite book is THE STAND.
Tell us about your journey to publication.
It is quite a journey, isn’t it? I began writing long ago and far away….lol…seriously, it seems like I’ve been writing forever. But I began getting “serious” about 3 or 4 years ago. I finished 6 manuscripts. Then my mentor helped me identify my “hook” within the mystery/suspense genre—deep south. Once I had that figured out, I began brainstorming and plotting stories using that angle.
Tell us about your current book?
BAYOU JUSTICE is the first book in a series. It’s theme is basic—waiting on God’s timing. The setting is south Louisiana, and the cast of characters are all Cajun.
How did you come up with ideas for this book?
My mentor and I brainstormed it, knowing I was going to try and portray the beautiful setting of south Louisiana and show the diversity of the Cajun culture. The rest just fell into place as we were brainstorming my characters.

Whatʼs next for you?
Right now, I’m on deadline for book 4. After that, I’ll turn in a proposal for the 5th and final book in the series. I’m also working on a single title starring a Cajun heroine!
