aihly AS I HAVE LOVED YOU
by  Nikki Arana

Jeff was born with ADD and his mother Leigh has been fighting for his rights since birth. His father abandoned them because he couldn’t handle a special needs child. Now Jeff is in college, and he’s attracted to a girl that Leigh recognizes as nothing but trouble.

Jeff disagrees with his mom’s dislike of his new interest, Jessica, and is defensive when Leigh makes comments about him staying out late. When he invites Jessica over, the two women hated each other on sight. But Leigh has other problems, with her dad dying of cancer and potentially losing their home, and she’s facing a writing deadline. Which problem is the most important to tackle? And how can she keep Jessica from destroying Jeff’s life when Jeff is determined to let her?

AS I HAVE LOVED YOU is the fourth book by award winning author, Ms. Arana. I sympathized with Leigh, as we all have (or will have) kids that make some bad choices, and I prayed that her son would see the light and not do what he wanted to do.

I also sympathized with the older parents with health issues line, and the writing thread. Leigh is extremely well done, and the story is excellently told. The faith message is woven in and not preachy. $12.99. 365 pages.
