I started writing for the secular market before ACFW was formed. I’ve always had a knack for humor, and I love suspense. About three years ago, a story popped into my head and wouldn’t go away. It involved a world-weary CIA agent who had lost his faith in God, and a spunky pastor who had trouble with her sermons. I didn’t know what to do with it, or how to market it. Then God led me to Margaret Daley, Vickie McDonough, Jan Warren, Therese Stenzel and Caron Smith. Together we created WIN, Writers of Inspirational Novels, a chapter of ACFW. These five wonderful Christians helped me to develop the story that will be published on November 24, 2008.

THE GLOCK & THE BIBLE. Dayle’s desire to help a church member makes her terrorists’ target. God sends a heart-bruised Government agent as protection. With Kel’s tarnished honor, she sees the good in him. But when everything is at stake, can he accept God as his savior? For that is the only way he’ll find peace and a place for Dayle in his heart, to Sapphire Blue Publishing. Publication date: November 24, 2008
How did you come up with ideas for this book?
This was definitely a God thing. I woke up one morning with the premise shouting in my mind, and a strong urgency to write it. Some of the action scenes came from my own crazy experiences. The hero reminds me of my late grandfather who was such a tease, but who also was a Godly man who hunted and knew how to use a gun.
What’s next for you?
I’m working on the sequel. I also have a medieval inspirational half finished, and a Regency.
