When wedding planner Anne Hawthorne meets George Laurence, she thinks she’s found the man of her dreams. But when he turns out to be a client, her "dream" quickly turns into a nightmare. Will Anne risk her heart and career on this engaging Englishman?

George came to Louisiana to plan his employer’s wedding and pose as the groom. But how can he feign affection for a supposed fiancĂ©e when he’s so achingly attracted to the wedding planner? And what will happen when Anne discovers his role has been Stand-In Groom only? Will she ever trust George again? Can God help these two believers find a happy ending?

I would first like to thank the publisher and author for sending me a copy of this book to review. I initially had a hard time "getting into" this book. I wasn’t connecting with Anne. So I set the book aside and moved on to other reads and then came back. The second go was much better for me.

This is a story fraught with obstacles for our couple. The author weaves a delightful tale filled with all the romanticism of a wedding planner, the softening of a hardened heart, and the blossoming of a new love. I really enjoyed the fact that the author gave the characters flaws, it made them really believable and it was interesting to see them work through each obstacle. The big misunderstanding between Anne and George was also a very good one and added additional realism to the story. It was really touching to watch them learn to trust one another.
