Being a sleuth can be a very dangerous thing. Because of that, Trish Cunningham decided it was time to hang up her "gum shoes" and focus on her family. She had a lot of work to do. Her daughter had started to "take" things that didn’t belong to her. Her 13 month old son needed a lot of attention. Then there was her relationship with her mother-in-law…LOTS of work needed there. Seems like they just couldn’t ever get along. And now Trish has to decide if she’ll let her daughter accept the kitten that her mother-in-law wants to get her.

In the middle of all this she needs to help her best friend Abbie plan her wedding! Abbie had finally recovered from her divorce and had found a special man. Trish was so excited! But then everything fell apart! Abbie’s ex-husband was found dead behind the church where the wedding was supposed to take place! To make matters worse, everything points to Abbie! How could Trish not help her friend and find out who really killed Philip?

The author weaves multiple plot lines and throws in many curves. Most of the time I have a pretty good idea of how a book is going to end, but not this time.

The one problem I had with the book is it didn’t seem like the author knew how to end the book, either. The book itself is shorter than a regular book. It seemed like the author realized that she didn’t have that many more words to work with and took some giant leaps with the plot. But even so, I thought it was a good read and definitely kept me hanging.

I would definitely recommend this book for all ages.
