In Kristin Heitzmann's latest romantic thriller, readers will fall in love with two people on a mission. One is on a mission to explore the past while the other is on a mission to escape a troubled past.
Lance Michelli is on a mission for grandmother Antonia who has just suffered a stroke. Lance's grandmother has some unfinished business from her past and has recruited her grandson to do some digging for her.
Rese Barrett has just lost her father in an horrible construction accident. As the only child, raised by her father, Rese is a woman without a lot of pain buried beneath a hard exterior. Working along side her dad in the construction business, she has acquired quite a few skills. Rese invests in a villa and sets out on a journey to restore it into a bed and breakfast. This same villa happens to be apart of Lance's heritage.
Lance finds his way into Rese's plans as a full-time cook, handyman and even a musician. What Rese does not count on is Lance finding his way into her heart, making her more vulnerable than she has ever been with a man. In the meantime, Lance is on a mission to discover the secrets of his family's past. In his search, he begins to become a lot closer to Rese than he planned.
Kristin Heitzmann consistently writes books with characters that readers learn to care about and feel concern for their spiritual growth. Readers will enjoy this book to the very last page! There is a plus with this particular book ... the story continues. Check out the sequel to this novel, Unforgotten.
