The Christian Bookwork Reviews’ Team consists of book reviewers from around the U.S. and in some cases, around the world.  We read several books a month and post reviews on this site. We have reviewed books for the following publishers.

CHRISTIAN BOOKWORM REVIEWS MANAGING EDITOR

Tyora Moody is an author and managing editor for Christian Bookworm Reviews.  Her debut novel, When Rain Falls, will be released March 2012 (Urban Christian/Kensington). Laura V. Hilton and her pastor husband, Steve, currently reside and minister near Muskegon, Michigan. They have four children ranging in age from 13 years down to 17 months. Laura homeschools and spends her free time reading and writing. Two of her books have recently been accepted for publication. She writes book reviews for three Web sites. Cindy Loven is a busy on the go, associate pastor’s wife.  Mom to two sons, the oldest a senior in highschool, and the youngest having passed away in January 2009, playing the Choking Game, she is an advocate for educating parents about the dangerous games kids play.  Her reviews can be found at Cindy’s Reviews . Lori Noe works full-time as an editorial secretary. She helps with the publication of a monthly magazine for a non-profit, government education institute. Lori is married with two wonderful daughters one, 15, and one, 20 – both in school/college. She and her family attend a non-denominational Christian church in town. Lori loves to read, scrapbook, quilt, and make cards for Cards for Heroes. www.cardsforheroes.com. She is an avid book lover of all genres. Lori is so honored to be able to read/review books and share them with others. She has made lots of new friends who share the same love for books. She really wants to promote Christian fiction big time on her blog. Lori fell in love with Christian fiction a few years ago when she joined a small Christian fiction book group at the local library. The group has since then stopped meeting, but Lori continues to read Christian fiction and hopes to encourage others to do so.

Pattie Reitz is a former high school and college English teacher who writes fiction, nonfiction, and book reviews. Occasionally she moonlights as a freelance proofreader and editor as well. Online, Pattie serves as the Assistant Editor of Writers Remember, one of Writers Digest’™s 101 Best Websites for Writers; moderates at the Women at Home Ministry message boards; contributes to Meredith Efken™s Violet Voices blog; and writes book reviews for Armchair Interviews, another Writer’s Digest-honored site. Pattie is the proud wife of an Air Force chaplain and the very proud mother of two school-age daughters. Her blog is found at Fresh Brewed Writer.

Lauren Sorgaard and her family live in a small town in SE Minnesota.  As a child she used to bring books home from the library by the wagon load.  Things haven’t changed much, except now she uses her vehicle.  She is a full time paralegal by day and mom, wife and aspiring author by night.  She reads constantly and celebrates her love of the written word on her blog, Reading Grounds (http://readinggrounds.blogspot.com).

Lynn Worley lives in Seattle, WA with her husband, Edward. She is the mother of six living children. Lynn love to read but rarely had time until she figured out she could read while exercising on the treadmill! She takes her job of reading these books for review very seriously. PAST TEAM MEMBERS

Margaret Chind and her husband formerly of Georgia now live just northeast of Memphis in a pleasant little town Arlington, Tennessee where he does his engineer things and she reads books, lots of books, and quilts, and sometimes cross stitches. As of August they are also learning the ropes as a SAHM and new family with their daughter AppleBlossom. Margaret has an AS in Nursing and  a BA in Religious Studies, she believes these have prepared her to have many an educated discussion. She has always been a book-a-holic and ever since she entered the book review world has completely fallen in head-over-hills and hopes to never leave her little library. As an attempt to show her mother and sisters what she was up to she created Creative Madness where she posts pictures of her current quilt project and many many book reviews. Rachel Koopmans lives in South Australia, with her American husband, David, and three living children. She is a freelance journalist, editor and proofreader, as well as the editor of her church newsletter. Rachel recently returned to school and is studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology. Since 2001 she has moderated a number of online support groups for women who have experienced the death of a baby. Rachel hopes to find the time to write her memoirs one day – and that they will make someone laugh.

JoAnn Miller is a stay at home mom to her three girls in Arkansas, and she is an active member of First Baptist Church in Monticello. JoAnn volunteers with the Wednesday night Awanas program. Her favorite past times are reading, cooking, and enjoying fellowship with others.

Tammy Moore is the mother of three boys and a grandmother, so far of two beautiful girls. She lives with her husband in lower Alabama. She is a disabled veteran and she currently work as a medical transcriptionist for a national company from home.

Deena Peterson has been an avid reader since she was a little girl.  Her favorite genre is mystery/suspense, but she will read just about anything.  Her mother and she used to share books and talk about them, so when she died two years ago Deena lost her reading buddy.  God inspired her to begin writing reviews online, and A Peek At My Bookshelf was born!  Now she has lots and lots of reading buddies, and it’s been a wonderful adventure! Deena adds, “When I’m not reading I’m a pastor’s wife and mother of six, with two teens still at home.  We home school our children, and both of them have their own review blogs.  I love to talk about books, and I’d love to hear from you!”

Terri Pilcher, owner of Professional Writing Services, has written articles for medical journals and writes two regular health columns at bellaonline.com and crosshome.com.

Robin Rider has spent the last 30 years as a freelance copy editor and proofreader. She has been happily married for over 20 years and is mother to 3 sons and grandmother to 2 grandsons.

Susan Shelley is the author of a novel series titled “Chasing the Demons” under the pen name of Anna Katherine Johnson. Susan also writes middle-grade kid’s novels, poetry, magazine articles, and draws cartoons. She is a ministry leader of a small group Bible study, sings in the church choir, and is the newsletter editor at her church. Susan also belongs to several professional writers’ & speakers’ organizations such as American Christian Writer’s Association, Orange County Christian Writer’s Fellowship, CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors, and Speakers Services).

Ginny Sutton lives on a farm in beautiful Claxton, Georgia. She is a Clinical Laboratory Technologist by profession and an insatiable bookworm. Sculpting is her hobby (visit her Web site if you are curious). She is also a pastor’s wife which keeps her very busy! One of Ginny’s ministries is a “lending library”. Each book she reads is either placed in her library and shared with many or it is sold on various used book sales venues.
